I'm a Biologist/Ecologist with specialization in satellite remote sensing and GIS applications in Ecology. My research interests are focused on environmental biophysics and modelling (e.g. energy balance model, water balance model, others). Applications of Remote Sensing and GIS on different environmental ecosystems (such as marine, terrestrial and agricultural). I'm very interested also in the Astrobiology and in the life detection outside Earth and/or in similar extreme environments. My interest in exobiology it is intensified as the result of several workshops and meetings attended during the period of my research visit to the NASA Ames Research Center (California, USA) as part of my PhD research.
