A Leslie matrix is a discrete model of population growth. It can be written as $\mathbf{n}_{t+1} = \mathbf{L}\mathbf{n}_t$, where $n_t$ is a population vector on time step $t$, and $\mathbf{L}$ is a matrix of survival/offspring probabilities.
